Kyansi Parish of Masaka Diocese celebrates 9 years
On 26th February 2017, Kyansi Parish of Masaka Diocese celebrated 9 years since it was started and on the same occasion the Mother General of Bannabiikira Sisters and professed Sisters were congratulated.
The Holy sacrifice of Mass was led by Rt. Rev. John Baptist Kaggwa the Bishop of Masaka Diocese. The bishop congratulated Kyansi Parishioners upon reaching 9 years since they received a Parish. He thanked them for the love of their Parish by the way of support: they built a beautiful Parish Church, they have done a lot to set up Fathers’ house though not yet finished, they have supported the Postulancy and many others. He asked the Christians to abide by God’s laws through the love one another. He asked Christians to build strong and self-reliant Christian families that protect the environment.
Bishop Kaggwa also congratulated the Mother General of BannaBiikira Sisters Bwanda Sr. Noeline Namusoke who is at the same time celebrates her 25 years in religious life, Sr. Judith Mwamini who heads Kyansi Postulancy that made her Perpetual Vows on 4th January 2017 at Ggogonya. He also congratulated other newly professed Sisters belonging to the congregation of Ggogonya Sisters and Bwanda Sisters.
The occasion was graced by State Minister for Children and Youth Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyinji and Woman Member of Parliament for Bukomansimbi Hon. Veronica Nannyondo Namaganda, among others.
