A transitory home for children with disabilities is opened at Kitovu

On the 14th June St. Vincent Palloti Children nursing home was officially opened and blessed by Rt. Rev. John Baptist Kaggwa the Bishop of Masaka.

The Bishop appreciated so much a lady from United States of America that has supported this project greatly. She is disabled herself and not that rich but has the spirit to help those with disabilities.

The bishop asked the people of Masaka to emulate this kind lady, they too do whatever possible to help the needy. He invited people to support this place with its needs.

The bishop thanked Rev. Fr. Eugene Kalyango who brought an idea of having this home and he is the one together with the Diocesan treasury have supervised well the work.

The bishop also officially commissioned three Religious Sisters of Good Samaritan Congregation who are to take care of this Children’s home.

This is not a permanent place for children. It is a transitory home. Children are brought here and then taken to places that they can get treatment services.

This place is for the Diocese but serves all people.

May God blessed all those involved in the realization of this Children’s transitory home.
